Blender cycles fluid simulation
I haven’t played around with Blender in a few years, and wow it has improved. The new cycles engine is truly amazing, hats off to the engineers who came up with it.
This took me a night to build, and 2 days to render. I used my Mac to create the scene. I had issues with network rendering, so most of the rendering was done with my Windows 10 box. I hate to say it but the Windows 10 box did render a hell of a lot faster than my Mac Pro. But to be fair, I have a 2 x GTX 980ti setup in that box.
I also found issues with exporting the video in Adobe Premiere. For reasons unknown, playing it on YouTube with on a Mac resulting in very washed out colors. I tried a few ways to fix it and ultimately decided posting the direct MP4 was a better solution.
